About THINKINK
THINKINK is a specialist B2B communications agency that partners with technology businesses in aviation, loyalty, payments, retail, sustainability, and travel. The agency helps clients improve visibility, sharpen their market position, and support commercial growth through integrated communications, media relations, research, and content-led programs. The team focuses on solving business challenges through strategy, storytelling, and well-considered design.
Role Overview
This position is for a Lead Creative Designer who blends strategic judgment with strong hands-on design capability. You will guide creative work from early concept through final delivery across several B2B client accounts. This is a senior, practical role where you contribute to creative thinking in the room with clients and also produce the actual design work yourself. The role is not about delegating execution to others; it requires building directly for web, social, and digital channels.
You will collaborate with clients, writers, strategists, developers, and PR professionals to lead creative conversations, present ideas, and create design across websites, social media, reports, presentations, campaigns, and brand systems. You should be comfortable discussing user journeys with developers, refining information flow with content strategists, presenting creative direction to clients, and turning concepts into polished work on schedule.
Creative Strategy and Direction
- Shape and own the visual brand and creative direction for THINKINK clients as well as the agency brand itself.
- Convert business goals, communications objectives, and campaign needs into focused creative concepts.
- Define the visual direction for accounts and maintain consistency throughout design and production.
- Explain, present, and stand behind creative thinking and concepts directly with clients.
Design Execution
- Individually produce high-quality design work for digital campaigns, social content, websites, email, presentations, and brand systems.
- Create reports, eBooks, white papers, and similar B2B marketing materials.
- Design graphics for events, exhibitions, and related collateral.
- Develop original creative concepts for B2B social and digital marketing that feel engaging and fresh.
- Build and refine visual brand guidelines covering logos, typography, color, and brand style.
- Support website redesigns with design thinking tailored to the web rather than adapted from print.
- Create polished presentations that combine messaging and strong visual hierarchy.
- Edit and enhance images, documents, and other assets for digital use and, where required, print.
Digital-First Production
- Design specifically for web, social, email, and digital channels while working within responsive constraints.
- Work directly with development and digital teams without relying on handoffs between disciplines.
- Use AI-assisted tools to speed up ideation, iteration, and production, and help set the standard for how the team adopts them.
- Stay informed about current trends in digital design, motion, and typography and apply them to client projects.
Client and Team Partnership
- Serve as the senior creative contact in client meetings and discussions.
- Work with account managers and leadership to define creative scope and manage expectations.
- Balance client input and internal feedback to deliver strong creative outcomes.
- Collaborate across PR, content, digital, social, and research teams to ensure creative aligns with broader programs.
- Step into projects partway through when needed and maintain brand consistency through delivery.
- Help improve creative standards and processes as the agency expands.
What the Role Requires
Great design here begins with the right questions, not with opening design software. You should naturally consider audience, messaging, user experience, and commercial goals before moving into color, typography, or layout decisions. The ideal person is curious, collaborative, commercially minded, and confident about knowing when to challenge a brief, defend a recommendation, or adapt based on feedback.
You should be comfortable in a fast-moving agency setting where priorities can shift quickly, multiple brands may be handled in the same week, and work often spans different industries and communication needs.
Experience and Skills Needed
- At least 8 years of design experience, with progression to a Lead, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director level, plus agency client-service exposure in PR, advertising, or marketing.
- A strong record of owning creative strategy and presenting it directly to clients.
- A portfolio that shows digital-first B2B work created for web, social, email, and digital campaigns.
- Experience independently leading creative workstreams, including both direction and execution.
- Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong practical experience with Figma.
- Confidence using generative AI design tools for image, video, and copy work, with the ability to build AI-supported workflows that improve speed without reducing craft.
- Advanced presentation design capability in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence presenting as the senior creative lead with clients.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through under tight deadlines.
- Comfort working remotely and collaborating within a small distributed team.
Preferred Background
- Experience in B2B technology, particularly aviation, travel, fintech/payments, loyalty, retail, or sustainability.
- Exposure to motion design, animation, or video editing.
- Background in brand identity and design systems.
- Print production and production workflow experience.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- A degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
