Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous Estimation Engineer who can build reliable costings and support bid preparation for aluminium, steel, and other metal works projects. This role involves studying drawings and technical documents, collecting supplier pricing, and contributing to accurate and competitive tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and perform quantity take-offs for project requirements.
• Examine architectural, structural, and shop drawings to understand scope and material needs.
• Assess project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to identify all cost elements.
• Request, compare, and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender packages and submit proposals that are both complete and competitive.
• Work closely with design, procurement, and project teams to align estimates with project expectations.
• Complete estimation work accurately and ensure all deadlines are met.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in estimation, ideally within aluminium, steel, or metal fabrication projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation tools/software.
• Capability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication ability, and organizational skills.
• Prior UAE experience will be considered an advantage.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah, Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
