As a member of the global VINCI Construction group, HEB Construction undertakes complex, high-value civil infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand, including major bridges, marine structures, pipelines, geotechnical systems, and advanced precast methods. Our Structures team leads several of the country's most technically demanding initiatives, supported by the resources and expertise of one of the world's largest construction networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function for this major redevelopment using international best practices.
• Formulate early bidding strategies ensuring all tenders are transparent, innovative, and commercially viable.
• Ensure accuracy, governance, and high quality in all project estimates.
• Foster strong partnerships with clients, collaborators, designers, and internal teams.
• Promote constructability, safety, and smart risk management from the start of each project.
• Shape HEB’s market positioning and contribute to the future direction of the Structures division.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience with at least 10 years in civil infrastructure estimating, preferably including Structures or marine sectors.
• Proven ability to lead teams, nurture culture, and develop professional capabilities.
• Strong commercial insight with a dedication to first-principles estimating, ideally within CCS.
• Effective collaboration, influence, and clear communication skills.
• A positive, people-first attitude aligned with company values: openness, authenticity, teamwork, care, and delivering results.
