Contract Manager

About the Role

A well-established main contractor in Qatar is hiring an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the contractual side of major infrastructure works. This position plays a key part in safeguarding the company’s commercial position, keeping projects compliant, and supporting overall profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage all contract-related activities across large infrastructure projects.
• Handle contract administration end to end, including drafting, negotiations, claims management, variation handling, and extensions of time (EOT) submissions.
• Work in line with FIDIC and other commonly used contract frameworks.
• Assist project teams with risk control and fulfillment of contractual duties.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to settle disputes and sustain productive working relationships.
• Advise senior leaders and project directors on commercial and contractual strategy.
• Support, coach, and develop commercial and contract staff across the organization.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Law, or a closely related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in commercial or contracts management, including a minimum of 10 years in the Middle East.
• Strong background with main contractors on major infrastructure schemes such as roads, bridges, and utilities.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and local commercial/legal practices in the region.
• Excellent abilities in negotiation, communication, and team leadership.
• MRICS, MCIArb, or a similar professional membership is considered an advantage.
