Overview
This role is for an experienced, safety-minded construction worker focused on bridge repair and rehabilitation work on concrete infrastructure across the East Coast. The employer is building a team of traveling laborers with practical experience in structural repair tasks and related field operations.
Project Locations
Work will take place on active projects in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This is a travel-based assignment, so applicants should be prepared to stay away from home when projects require it. Return trips for rest and relaxation are provided.
What the Job Involves
- Repairing concrete and structural steel bridges.
- Supporting demolition work such as chipping, grinding, hydro-demolition assistance, and surface preparation.
- Installing reinforcement steel, formwork, repair materials, and concrete.
- Operating construction equipment when properly qualified.
- Handling rigging work and managing suspended loads safely.
- Following project drawings, directions from superintendents, and site procedures.
- Keeping the work area neat, organized, and safe.
- Complying with OSHA rules, company safety standards, and all project-specific safety requirements.
Required Experience and Background
Candidates must already have experience in concrete and/or steel bridge repair. Hands-on exposure to rigging, equipment operation, or structural ironwork is considered a strong advantage. The work is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
