Role overview

This position is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and keeping assigned spaces in proper condition using approved methods and procedures while meeting company and client expectations for safety and quality. The role may involve regular interaction with clients.

Key duties

• Empty, wash, and wipe waste containers, and move waste paper and trash from the site to the designated disposal area.
• Vacuum rugs and carpeted spaces; sweep or dust-mop hard floors; and damp-mop or clean up spills in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and shared areas as required.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, filing cabinets, fixtures, wall panels, windowsills, air vents, grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove smudges and fingerprints from vertical surfaces such as doors, doorframes, light switches, glass entry areas, and partitions.
• Maintain the janitor’s closet in a clean, organized, and orderly state.
• Take on other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should have strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, solid problem-solving skills, and good time management. A high school diploma or GED is required. Prior custodial or cleaning experience of at least 1 year is preferred, or an equivalent background.
