Role Overview
In this position, you will work in the installation bay at a local Best Buy store to fit customers’ vehicles with new technology. You will also offer guidance, practical tips, and product suggestions to both customers and teammates. The company will provide the training and certifications needed to help you work at a high level. Internally, this job is referred to as an Autotech Agent, with a path to progress to Autotech Agent Level 2.
What You Will Handle
- Fit car electronics such as T-harness remote starts, stereos, speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers, and in-dash units.
- Follow supplied installation guides to match mobile electronics with the right vehicle and finish the job correctly.
- Check the vehicle’s make and model and flag any compatibility issues before starting the installation.
- Deliver strong customer service throughout the interaction.
- Complete all mandatory training sessions and certifications.
Basic Requirements
- You must have a current, valid driver’s license.
- You need to maintain a driving record that meets the company’s safety expectations, including only a minimal number of accidents or violations.
Preferred Background
- Previous experience working with car electronics installation is an advantage.
- Retail experience is also preferred.
