Role Overview

The FinTech Program Management team supports and expands Toast’s FinTech business lines by finding and advancing opportunities that improve growth and operational performance. The work centers on strategic initiatives, cross-functional delivery, and managing external partner operations. The role offers broad exposure to teams such as Product Management, Strategic Alliances, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate major programs across multiple functions, guide stakeholder alignment, and help secure clear decisions and outcomes.
• Oversee operational relationships with external partners and work with the Strategic Alliances team to improve partner performance.
• Create detailed program roadmaps, lead execution, define scope, identify process gaps, and drive efficiency improvements.
• Deliver large, high-impact FinTech initiatives and partner with other business areas on FinTech workstreams.
• Assist with the partner incident management process, including customer reimbursement handling when required.
• Use AI to streamline existing operations and build frameworks that help cross-functional teams launch initiatives more effectively.

Requirements

• At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience, including consulting, financial services, or related experience in a fast-growing technology company in product operations, program management, or a similar function.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; preferred backgrounds include Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Quantitative Science.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities with the confidence to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in a startup or similar high-growth setting, with the ability to succeed in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and manage several deadlines at once.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure complex issues, build program plans, lead implementation, and improve operations.
• Comfort working with a US-based team in the Eastern Time Zone (EST).

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in the U.S. FinTech space is a plus.
