About the Role

ZebraLearn is looking for a writer to support its K–12 publishing work. This role suits someone who has already written K–12 books with established publishing houses and can turn academic ideas into clear, engaging material for school students.

The right person will understand school curricula well, know how to make difficult topics easy to learn, and be comfortable creating content that is age-appropriate and effective for different class levels. Experience in curriculum design, textbook development, or educational publishing will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality learning content for K–12 learners, including lessons, worksheets, and assessments.
• Modify content so it works well for different grades, learning goals, and student needs.
• Work closely with instructional designers, educators, and subject experts to maintain accuracy and educational value.
• Ensure all content follows the correct curriculum framework, such as CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, or international syllabi.
• Add interactive and engaging elements that improve the learning experience.
• Refine and update material according to review comments and quality expectations.
• Maintain consistency in voice, language, and formatting across all learning assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Journalism, or a similar discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience writing educational or academic material for K–12 learners.
• Prior work on K–12 books for Classes 6, 7, and 8 is preferred.
• Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, and written expression.
• Understanding of curriculum guidelines and teaching methodologies.
• Ability to break down complex ideas into simple explanations for different age groups.
• Strong research, editing, and proofreading abilities.

Additional Information

This is a K–12 writing assignment for ZebraLearn in India. The role is on-site and contract-based. No stipend or salary amount has been specified.
