Junior Technical Support Officer (Entry Level)

This entry-level Technical Support Officer position is part of the Network Operations Center team and is focused on keeping network services running reliably while delivering timely technical help when issues arise.

What You’ll Do

• Track the performance of the network and quickly respond when unusual behavior or disruptions are detected.
• Handle technical questions and work toward resolving network-related issues.
• Run and oversee the operation of systems, applications, network links, and telecommunications usage.
• Support fault handling, troubleshooting, and incident/problem management by identifying system issues and following through until they are resolved or escalated appropriately.
• Carry out user service requests according to QMS standards.
• Assist users with disaster recovery activities, contingency testing, scheduled maintenance, system change requests, software installation, and network equipment issues.
• Monitor environmental conditions for data center equipment such as UPS units and air-conditioning.
• Act as a day-to-day physical security controller for the data center to help maintain proper security.
• Track the use of storage media, stationery, and related operational materials.
• Prepare inventory summaries and statistical reports.
• Be available to work 24x7 rotating 12-hour shifts.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Education

A diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a local Polytechnic is required.
