About the internship
This is a part-time, work-from-home internship for a Java Development role with Basti Ki Pathshala Foundation. The project work is centered on building and improving an educational platform that supports children from underserved communities. You will get hands-on exposure to real development tasks and contribute to a mission-driven initiative that aims to expand access to quality education.
What you will work on
- Partner with the development team to plan and add new features for the learning platform.
- Build code that is clean, efficient, and easy to maintain using Java and related technologies.
- Help identify, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues so the platform runs smoothly.
- Support interface development to make the product easier to use and more visually appealing.
- Work on server-side logic for handling data flow, processing, and storage.
- Participate in user testing and use feedback to improve the overall UI/UX experience.
- Keep up with current tools and trends in software development and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Technical focus
The role calls for familiarity with Java, HTML, MySQL, JSP, J2EE, Hibernate ORM, Spring MVC, frontend and backend development, UI/UX design, and web development.
