Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is looking to hire a GCP Data Engineer for its Trivandrum location through a walk-in drive.

Location: Trivandrum, Kerala, India

Experience Required

The position requires 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Technical Expertise Needed

Hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud data engineering services such as BigQuery and Dataproc.
Strong programming capability in Python and PySpark for data processing and engineering work.
Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
Solid understanding of data warehousing platforms and the core concepts behind them.
Ability to build, support, and improve ETL pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.

Preferred Skills

Awareness of DevOps principles within the Google Cloud environment.
Ability to design data models that are efficient, scalable, and well-structured.
Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools for collaboration and source management.
Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security practices to help ensure compliance and safeguard sensitive information.
