Role Summary
We are seeking a resourceful Content Editor to oversee planning, creation, refinement, and publication of digital content. In this position, you will work closely with writers, designers, and marketing colleagues to produce material that is engaging, well-structured, and aligned with audience needs.
What You Will Do
Your work will involve developing content across multiple formats, improving readability and accuracy, and ensuring that every piece supports the wider content and marketing strategy. You will also review performance data to understand how content is performing and where it can be improved.
Core Work Areas
- Draft content for blogs, newsletters, web pages, brochures, whitepapers, and similar formats.
- Review, proofread, and polish material prepared by other team members.
- Maintain a publishing calendar so content is released consistently across social channels.
- Apply SEO principles while editing and optimizing content for search visibility.
- Contribute fresh ideas for content that can attract targeted website traffic.
- Partner with the Content Manager, Content Creator, and Content Strategist during content development.
- Stay current with trends and practices for producing company-relevant content.
- Check spelling, grammar, syntax, and overall presentation before publication.
- Work with graphic designers to support a smooth and user-friendly experience.
- Manage a busy workload effectively and deliver work on deadline.
- Review analytics and readership data to improve retention and engagement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline, along with prior experience creating and editing content. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are important for success in this role.
Additional Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, or another related field is required.
- A portfolio showcasing published work is expected.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Content Editor, Content Writer, or in a similar marketing-related role is needed.
- Hands-on experience with content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla, Wix, or similar platforms is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Strong problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills are expected.
- Good time management, organizational ability, and attention to detail are essential.
- A creative mindset, strong work ethic, and awareness of SEO and keyword analysis are important.
