Cleaner

Job Summary

The Cleaner is responsible for keeping office and residential areas tidy, functional, and hygienic. The role includes regular cleaning of washrooms, restocking supplies, disposing of waste, and disinfecting surfaces that are frequently touched.

This position requires the ability to carry out all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Key Duties

• Wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment every day.
• Sweep, dust, and mop floors on a daily basis.
• Collect kitchenware from offices and meeting rooms, then wash dishes throughout the day as needed.
• Clean and sanitize toilets regularly, with ongoing checks during the day.
• Keep washrooms supplied with toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
• Handle housekeeping tasks for guesthouse rooms and surrounding premises.
• Clean doors and windows.
• Notify the office manager when cleaning supplies or guesthouse stock run low.
• Each day, clean the site entrance, common areas, meeting rooms, clinics, reception, and halls.
• Clean toilets at least five times daily, including bowls, sinks, mirrors, walls, and floors, and ensure essentials such as toilet paper, lotion, and soap are available; record completion on the toilet checklist.
• Clean and wipe the glass doors and frames at the building entrance.
• Regularly clean desks and chairs.
• Serve tea or mineral water to visitors when needed.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a cleaning services role is usually expected.
• Must have the physical stamina and overall health needed to perform the job.
• Should maintain strong personal hygiene practices.
• Prior experience with International Medical Corps is considered an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities are required.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a busy environment with changing priorities.
• Should be able to meet deadlines and follow work schedules.
• Must be fluent in the required written and spoken language.
