Role overview
Mondelēz International is hiring a Financial Analyst to support plant finance activities in Hyderabad. The role focuses on reporting, budgeting, controls, compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing finance operations.
Financial reporting and analysis
- Handle the gathering, validation, and organization of data used in financial reporting.
- Build and review monthly financial reports for EM plants and the HO Finance team.
- Study cost movements, yield variances, and other key performance indicators, then share insights with plant operations and leadership.
- Make sure General Ledger balances and scrap loss reconciliations are accurate.
- Assist with statutory and internal audit preparation and submission, including SOX compliance and inventory counts.
Budgeting and cost control
- Support the annual plant budget process so it aligns with business objectives.
- Load approved budgets into SAP and compare actual performance against plan.
- Monitor budget controls and help plant teams improve cost efficiency.
Compliance and controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- Support plant finance operations in meeting financial and operational standards.
- Check and approve invoices from external manufacturers while tracking performance.
- Provide support for indirect tax matters and ensure alignment with local tax laws.
Continuous improvement and digital transformation
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Use data analytics and digital tools to strengthen planning and reporting.
- Promote a continuous-improvement approach with a focus on operational excellence.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should have a CA, CWA, or MBA in Finance, along with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in plant finance, manufacturing finance, or a similar role. Experience in CPG, manufacturing, or consulting, with a solid understanding of the manufacturing environment, is preferred.
Skills and attributes
The ideal candidate should bring strong SAP knowledge, preferably in the FICO module, advanced Excel capability, financial modeling experience, strong analytical thinking, and comfort working with audits, SOX, and financial control frameworks. Business understanding of plant operations, a technology-driven mindset, integrity, and the ability to work well across teams are also important.
