Senior Illustrator

Role overview

This is a remote contractor assignment for a Senior Illustrator. The engagement runs for 4 weeks and is structured as a part-time commitment of 40 hours per week. The schedule requires 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time. There is no medical leave or paid leave attached to this contract. Compensation is set at $5 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop polished stylized illustrations from briefs, keeping the composition strong and the visual language consistent.
• Work across multiple illustration styles and deliver requested variations with precision.
• Maintain high standards for lighting, texture, and overall visual quality.
• Record prompts, chosen styles, and related metadata in a clear and organized manner.
• Work closely with the team, respond to feedback, and refine outputs accordingly.
• Deliver finished artwork that is clean, production-ready, and aligned with the project’s objectives.

Requirements

• Substantial professional experience working as an illustrator or in a comparable role.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates flexibility across different illustration styles.
• Solid understanding of composition, color, and lighting principles.
• Capability to paint or render scenes, characters, or environments.
• Proven ability to match and reproduce a variety of art styles accurately.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Suite, and Clip Studio Paint.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail along with strong time management.
