Role overview
Gritter Francona is hiring a Project Manager to support project coordination, scheduling, analysis, testing, and implementation activities tied to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) modernization programs. The work centers on Community Care Network Next Generation (CCN NG) readiness, Veterans Financial Management Platform (VFMP) modernization, and related Payer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) modernization efforts.
In this position, you will guide the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex healthcare modernization initiatives while helping keep business teams and information technology groups aligned. The role involves building and maintaining detailed schedules that cover systems development, modernization work, implementation readiness, and testing checkpoints. These schedules will connect with enterprise Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for CCN NG readiness, VFMP modernization, and Payer EDI programs.
You will also help shape the testing approach, support integration and end-to-end testing, review readiness, and prepare weekly executive updates on progress, system readiness, and testing outcomes. In addition, you will assist VA project management leadership by organizing several concurrent Payer EDI modernization efforts through schedule control, prioritization of tasks, tracking dependencies, and cross-team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning, scheduling, analysis, testing, and implementation support for VA modernization initiatives.
- Lead coordination for CCN NG readiness, VFMP modernization, and related Payer EDI modernization workstreams.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules covering development, readiness, modernization, and testing milestones.
- Align project schedules with enterprise Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Support the development of testing strategy and execution plans.
- Oversee integration testing, end-to-end testing, and readiness assessments.
- Prepare weekly executive-level status reporting on project progress, system readiness, and testing status.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent Payer EDI modernization initiatives through task prioritization and dependency management.
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to maintain cross-functional alignment.
Requirements
- A master's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is acceptable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible project management experience are required.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting federal healthcare programs are required, with preference for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal healthcare agency experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
