Role Overview

This is a full-time, regular manufacturing/operations role based in Athens, Alabama, at 214 Durham Drive, USA. The position is posted on an ongoing basis for one year because hiring occurs periodically throughout the year.

Work Requirements

• When assigned to different zones, you may need to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, linear measuring machines, and fixtures to confirm that parts meet quality standards.
• You must be able to stand for long periods, with frequent bending and twisting.
• You should be able to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs from the floor to waist level, lift up to 50 lbs from waist to shoulder level, and push or pull up to 15 lbs.
• You will frequently carry loads in the 35–55 lbs range.
• Constant forward reaching is required, with frequent lateral reaching and occasional overhead reaching.
• Occasional gripping with moderate force may be necessary.
• You may be rotated across work in the zone, department, division, or plant as needed.
• You must understand acceptable quality standards and be able to inspect finished work for visual defects.
• You should be able to identify parts, materials, and finishes accurately.
• You must be able to use the locator system effectively.
• You need to meet the required takt time or cycle time set for the job.
• Additional skills may be needed depending on the department.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
