SPC is hiring a Junior Full Stack Developer to help keep product quality high. In this role, you will contribute to testing across the product development lifecycle by designing, writing, documenting, and running test plans and scripts according to company processes and methods.

Location

This role is based in Vaughan (Vaughan Mills area) or Toronto (Dundas & Bathurst area). The role is flexible and can be done remotely or in person.

Key duties

• Create and run both manual and automated test scripts.
• Find, investigate, log, and follow bugs through to resolution in Jira.
• Work through multiple deadlines and shifting priorities without losing momentum.
• Share testing outcomes, defects, and other issues with QA teammates and developers.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of testing and quality approaches for new and existing initiatives.
• Use AI tools during product development to support ideation, prototype creation, user story drafting, and iterative testing so products can improve faster.
• Encourage AI adoption across product and development work to simplify workflows, improve decisions, speed up experimentation, and raise operational efficiency.

Technical background

• Experience with VueJS, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with React Native.
• Back-end exposure in Python Flask.
• Understanding of Google Cloud Platform.

Candidate profile

SPC is looking for someone who is in the final year of post-secondary study in Computer Science, Engineering, the Sciences, or Mathematics, or someone who is a recent graduate. The ideal person has experience preparing test plans and test cases, enjoys spotting defects, cares about user experience, and understands programming basics and relational databases. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork are important, along with a genuine interest in learning and contributing in a team-first environment.
