Engineer – Construction & Infrastructure

Role overview

Kalema LLC, a Doha-based strategic consulting and business development company, is seeking an Engineer to add strength to its technical team. The role is focused on project planning and control within the construction and infrastructure sector.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and refine project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and milestone tracking.
• Assist the Project Manager with coordination of resources and prioritization of tasks.
• Oversee cost control activities and help track project financial performance.
• Review schedule and budget deviations, then suggest practical corrective measures.
• Track and coordinate progress on electrical, mechanical, and firefighting system works.
• Liaise with site execution, design, and procurement teams to keep work aligned.
• Compile progress summaries and regular project status reports.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated background in project planning, ideally in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Understanding of electrical and firefighting systems.
• A valid driving license and access to a car are required.
• The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and technical documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications

Fluency or working knowledge of both Arabic and English is preferred.

Employment details

This is a full-time role with a fixed-term or permanent contract option. Compensation will be competitive and aligned with the candidate’s experience. The position is based in Doha, Qatar.
