Driver

Role Overview

This position is for a Driver based in Miwani, Kisumu County, Kenya. The role is full-time and focuses on moving staff, goods, and materials safely and on schedule, while also taking good care of the assigned vehicle and following company rules and road safety standards.

What You Will Do

• Operate company vehicles safely to transport employees, goods, and materials to the required destinations.
• Carry out deliveries and pickups according to planned timetables.
• Inspect the vehicle every day before driving, including checking oil, water, brakes, tyres, and lights.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in proper working condition.
• Immediately inform the supervisor of any accident, damage, or mechanical issue.
• Follow all traffic regulations and internal transport procedures.
• Keep accurate records such as logbooks, fuel usage details, and trip information.
• Help with loading and unloading goods when needed.
• Protect the safety of passengers and the vehicle at all times.
• Carry out minor emergency repairs where possible.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of verified driving experience in a busy work setting.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently.
• A valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle category.
• A clean driving history without major traffic offences.
• Good understanding of road routes and traffic rules.
• Basic vehicle mechanics knowledge will be an added benefit.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and disciplined.
