Mindrift offers subject-matter experts the chance to join project-based AI work for major technology companies. The focus is on assessing, stress-testing, and enhancing AI systems. This is not a permanent role; participation happens on a per-project basis.

What You May Work On

Each assignment can differ, but contributors may be expected to:

Develop original computational chemistry challenges that mirror real-world research workflows.
Write problems that require Python-based solutions using tools such as NumPy, SciPy, and chemistry-focused libraries.
Make sure the tasks are computationally demanding and not realistically solvable by hand in a short time.
Build problems that involve multi-step reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
Ground the tasks in genuine research questions or practical chemistry use cases.
Check answers with Python using standard computational chemistry methods.
Write clear problem statements and supply verified correct solutions.

Project Timing and Compensation

Active project periods are expected to take about 10 to 20 hours per week. This estimate depends on project needs and is not a guaranteed workload. Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $35 per hour, based on contribution level and working pace. Pay can differ from project to project depending on scope, difficulty, and the expertise required.

The workflow is: apply, complete qualification stage(s), join a project, finish assigned tasks, and receive payment.
