Role Summary
The Associate - Quality Assurance will oversee end-to-end quality control across assigned factory operations. The role requires close coordination with production teams, factory QA teams, and management to ensure that quality standards, brand expectations, and process requirements are consistently met throughout the garment manufacturing cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the factory quality process cycle by controlling samples, tracking in-house material status, overseeing in-house material testing, running PP meetings, handling cutting permissions, and maintaining inspection records and reports.
- Train and guide quality and production personnel so that quality standards are followed strictly across the production flow in line with SOPs and brand requirements.
- Review cutting, sewing, and finishing stages for in-process quality issues and escalate findings to management.
- Apply the quality SOP at every stage and ensure buyer manuals and production quality standards are implemented at the factory level.
- Carry out in-line audits and in-process checks across sewing, finishing, and packing operations.
- Monitor the complete quality workflow for the assigned factory.
- Perform final inspections and verify the finished product quality.
- Train, support, and directly lead the factory-nominated QA team.
- Own the factory-side quality control process from the buyer’s perspective.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.
- Work toward reducing DHU%, improving first-audit pass rates, lowering inward rejections, and minimizing customer returns.
Requirements
- B.Tech or NIFT qualification with at least 3 years of experience in garment manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
- Strong communication and project management abilities.
- Solid analytical thinking and a process-driven approach.
- Hands-on proficiency in MS Office.
- Prior exposure to retail or e-commerce environments will be considered an added advantage.
Additional Information
This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and is a full-time onsite position.
