About the Role
McGowan Mortgages, a high-performing branch of NEXA Mortgage LLC, is looking for a remote Assistant Operations Manager to support and strengthen its expanding mortgage operations function. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to keep day-to-day processes running smoothly, supervise processors, maintain compliance standards, and make sure each loan file progresses through the pipeline accurately and on schedule.
The team works with more than 300 wholesale lenders across the country, and operations is central to delivering that volume successfully. This position is a strong fit for someone with solid mortgage operations experience who enjoys creating better systems, guiding teams, and contributing to business growth in a role that can lead to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in coordinating daily mortgage operations.
- Monitor workflow and help ensure files move through the loan pipeline efficiently.
- Oversee processors and provide direction to keep work accurate and on track.
- Help maintain compliance with relevant mortgage processing standards and procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements, system building, and team coaching.
- Assist in driving operational performance, consistency, and overall team results.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual pay range of $70,000 to $85,000.
