Role Overview

This US-remote Accounting Associate role supports the finance team with close activities, payables, reconciliations, audit preparation, and a range of day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Duties

• Support monthly close work, accounts payable processes, daily cash reconciliation, audit coordination, and other finance-related tasks as needed.
• Complete month-end activities on schedule, including cash reconciliations, fixed asset updates, accrued expense entries, and credit card reconciliations.
• Help prepare the weekly cash flow report.
• Review and administer employee expense submissions.
• Respond to payroll requests for information.
• Handle cash transaction reconciliation, deposit customer checks, enter AP transactions, pay bills, and run daily AP/AR reports.
• Partner with auditors by gathering and organizing requested support documents.
• Assist in drafting company documentation.
• Own AP administration and AP reconciliations.
• Set up new customers in the accounting system.
• Serve as a department contact for credit card administration, AP questions, and budgeting-related inquiries.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and local GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
