This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application review and the next stages of the process. The hiring company is seeking a Technical Interviewer located in Germany.
In this role, you will help identify and assess strong technology professionals across a variety of technical functions. You will work in a fully remote, globally distributed setting and evaluate candidates on software development, cloud solutions, and newer technology stacks. The position blends technical depth with recruitment expertise, giving you the chance to partner closely with hiring managers, technical specialists, and business stakeholders. Your work will support the creation of high-quality talent pipelines through well-designed assessments, thorough interviews, and a strong candidate experience. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys both technology and evaluating people, and who wants broad exposure to international hiring across multiple technical areas.
Key accountabilities
- Carry out detailed technical interviews with shortlisted candidates to judge their knowledge, practical ability, background, and overall fit for client needs.
- Assess talent across areas such as software engineering, cloud environments, databases, and current engineering methods.
- Work with recruitment and technical colleagues to build and maintain strong candidate pools for different technical roles.
- Join intake discussions with stakeholders to clarify hiring priorities, technical expectations, and role specifics.
- Run or support technical conversations with clients and hiring managers whenever needed.
- Create, improve, and tailor interview questions, technical tests, and evaluation criteria for specific roles.
- Stay informed about new technologies and market trends so assessment approaches remain effective and relevant.
- Deliver clear feedback and hiring recommendations to support recruitment decisions and strategy.
- Help improve technical screening practices and candidate evaluation standards over time.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical recruitment, talent acquisition, or technical interviewing.
- At least 2 years of practical experience as a software developer, with working knowledge of backend development, frontend technologies, databases, and cloud services.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering roles, technical skill sets, and industry best practices.
- Prior experience conducting technical interviews and using structured evaluation methods for candidates.
- Working familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable tools.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities along with stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, ideally TeamTailor, Greenhouse, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
- Experience in outsourcing, outstaffing, or multinational companies is an added advantage.
- Strong organization, project coordination, and time management skills are beneficial.
