This opportunity is being shared on behalf of a partner organization, which will handle applications and the next steps in the hiring process. The employer is seeking a Sales Development Representative contractor based in Germany.
The role is suited to a motivated sales professional who can help expand business in a fast-moving technology setting. As the initial contact for potential customers, you will uncover new opportunities, develop strong relationships, and help grow the sales pipeline. You will work alongside sales, marketing, and product teams to sharpen outreach methods and strengthen market presence across Europe. Responsibilities
- Source, research, and assess potential customers across different sectors and target groups.
- Run outbound prospecting efforts using email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events.
- Lead discovery-style conversations to learn about customer pain points, priorities, and buying processes.
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospects through structured follow-up.
- Use sales platforms and prospecting tools to organize outreach, monitor engagement, and improve results.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date for all prospect activities, interactions, and opportunities.
- Track pipeline figures, lead movement, and campaign outcomes to support ongoing optimization.
- Work closely with marketing to refine ideal customer profiles, improve targeting, and share market insights.
- Stay current on industry changes, competitor activity, and new technologies to improve outreach effectiveness.
- Share ideas and recommendations that enhance sales processes, outreach tactics, and go-to-market plans.
Requirements
- At least 12 months of experience in sales development, business development, outbound prospecting, or another commercial role.
- Prior exposure to SaaS, technology, or startup environments is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English, plus strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to engage prospects, build rapport, and clearly communicate value.
- Comfort with working in a fast-changing environment where priorities and growth goals can shift quickly.
- A results-oriented mindset with the drive to hit targets and keep improving performance.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple accounts, outreach efforts, and priorities at once.
- Interest in technology products and the ability to quickly grasp technical ideas and business use cases.
- A collaborative approach and readiness to work across functions.
- Willingness and availability to travel within Europe when needed.
