Role overviewThis opening is for a Project Cost Estimator in Vadodara, supporting a functional estimating role on a full-time office/project basis. The position involves building, reviewing, and presenting full CAPEX estimates along with discipline-level supporting estimates. The role also requires leading a team of discipline estimators and handling major, complex CAPEX EPC/EPCM estimates across industries such as oil and gas, LNG, chemicals, semiconductors, manufacturing, datacentres, combined cycle, carbon capture, mining, nuclear, motorways, and large infrastructure including airports and water storage.The successful candidate will contribute across all estimate classes, from conceptual through execution, and will also be expected to analyze material and labor costs, maintain historical cost data, improve estimating procedures, and support reporting and reviews. Mentoring junior estimators is part of the role.Work setupRequisition ID: 295342Relocation support is not available.Telework arrangement: full-time office/project.Primary work location: Vadodara.Key responsibilitiesThe role calls for preparing CAPEX estimates that include direct, indirect, and burdened costs across the full estimating lifecycle. It also involves quantity takeoffs, data reconciliation, estimate basis documentation, review presentations, market-aligned pricing checks, and management of estimate changes and contingencies.Experience and technical backgroundApplicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and bring 18+ years of industry experience, including 12+ years at job sites with direct exposure to cost estimating. Experience with parametric estimating techniques, indirect construction cost practices, and industry estimating software is expected. Familiarity with stickbuilt versus modular execution, as well as greenfield and brownfield scopes, is also required.Skills and toolsStrong working knowledge of AI tools, Microsoft Copilot, and Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is essential.
