Price & Margin Analyst

Job Overview

This role supports Buyers and Assistant Buyers in pricing evaluations and various administrative duties essential for merchandising operations aligned with PriceSmart’s principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze vendor forecasts and monitor regional competitor pricing using CompShop reports.
• Examine merchandise managers' code reports and apply company merchandising philosophies daily.
• Gather item and pricing data from the AS/400 system and communicate discrepancies or pricing issues to relevant buyers.
• Maintain professional collaborations within the team and support managers with market pricing and margin information.
• Assist the Purchasing Department by preparing reports, facilitating weekly transfer documents for local and regional items, and aiding in the development of new purchasing documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between Purchasing and regional competitor shoppers to resolve pricing conflicts through investigative research.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities in both Spanish and English.
• Proficiency in data processing and advanced command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and adhere to deadlines.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, good judgment, passion, entrepreneurial mindset, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, resilient under pressure, and adaptable to a changing environment.
