About the organization
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) works under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and was set up under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. It creates and enforces science-led food standards to safeguard public health and consumer interests. The authority oversees the production, storage, movement, sale, and import of food products across India, while also driving awareness through education, training, and capacity-building initiatives. Its goal is to help every citizen access safe, nutritious, and high-quality food through strong regulation and scientific governance.
Role overview
FSSAI is seeking a Manager (IT) to lead day-to-day technology operations, support system modernization, and help ensure that IT services remain secure, stable, and aligned with organizational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of IT systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
- Help implement and maintain technology solutions that match business and organizational requirements.
- Track system health and maintain the availability, security, and dependability of IT services.
- Work with internal teams and outside stakeholders on technology projects and related initiatives.
- Contribute to planning and delivery of IT modernization and digital transformation efforts.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity rules and information security standards.
- Review technical problems and apply practical fixes to reduce interruptions to operations.
- Draft technical documentation, system records, and performance review reports.
- Assist in acquiring, deploying, and maintaining hardware and software assets.
- Provide technical direction and support to IT personnel and support teams.
