Finishing Engineer

Job summary

Mobco Group is looking for a meticulous Finishing Engineer to support its project team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role suits someone with strong hands-on experience in architectural finishing and fit-out work on major construction projects. You will oversee finishing activities, maintain quality standards, coordinate with subcontractors, and help ensure delivery aligns with project drawings, specifications, and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Track and supervise all architectural finishing and fit-out work carried out on site.
• Make sure finishing tasks are executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and required quality benchmarks.
• Examine architectural shop drawings, finish details, and material submissions.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams to keep work progressing smoothly.
• Check and verify work related to flooring, wall treatments, ceilings, paint, cladding, joinery, decorative features, and interior finishes.
• Carry out inspections to confirm compliance with project requirements and approved mock-ups.
• Spot technical challenges in finishing works and support timely resolution.
• Follow project progress closely and help ensure activities are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
• Coordinate finishing work with MEP and other construction disciplines.
• Draft and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, testing, and final handover activities.
• Maintain consistent compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications and requirements

• Academic background in Architecture is required.
• Applicants should have 7 to 10 years of experience in finishing and fit-out activities.
• Prior involvement in mega construction projects is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of architectural finishes, construction methods, and quality control processes.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and finishing specifications is needed.
• Must be able to work effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Excellent technical, organizational, and communication abilities are expected.

Mandatory requirements

Candidates must have an architectural educational background, a minimum of 7 years and up to 12 years of relevant experience, and prior exposure to mega projects. Strong expertise in architectural finishing and fit-out work is essential. Immediate joining or availability on a short notice period is preferred.
