Executive/Senior Executive (Payments)

Role overview

This position sits within the payments and accounts payable function, where you will help ensure invoices and related payment activities are handled accurately and in line with internal financial policies and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Check vendor invoices and process them in a timely manner while staying aligned with the organisation’s financial manual and payment rules.
• Monitor and follow up on payment administration matters, including security deposits, balance sheet items, and supporting schedules.
• Contribute to process improvement work and system upgrades, including testing activities and cutover monitoring during implementation.
• Respond to questions from business owners on expenditure and payment-related matters.
• Take on other ad hoc tasks and initiatives when required.

Requirements

• A qualification in Accountancy or another relevant professional credential.
• Working knowledge of analytical tools.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work well in a team while also managing tasks independently.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and other teams.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
