Data Management Practitioner

Role Overview

This position focuses on safeguarding the quality, consistency, and policy compliance of an organization’s data assets. The job involves shaping data handling strategies, protecting sensitive information, and improving how data is used across the business. Although the role title is Data Management Practitioner, the detailed scope also covers hands-on Python development for backend systems and automation.

What You Will Do

• Develop and support backend applications, services, and automation solutions using Python.
• Create scalable components, reusable modules, and maintainable libraries.
• Build REST APIs or microservices with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL data stores including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Set up data processing flows, automation scripts, and system integrations.
• Write code that is clean, efficient, testable, and aligned with engineering standards.
• Investigate, fix, and optimize production issues and application performance problems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, cloud, and product teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Take part in code reviews and ongoing process improvements.
• Define and advise on data quality rules and data governance controls.
• Help establish protocols for secure data handling and data compliance.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong, practical experience in Python development, ideally with at least 5 years of hands-on work.
• Experience building with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Good grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Solid background in REST API development.
• Working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with unit testing tools such as pytest and unittest.
• Experience using Git, version control workflows, and Agile delivery methods.
• Exposure to CI/CD, automated release pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
• The candidate should ideally have 6 to 8 years of experience as a Python and Gen AI Developer.

Eligibility

Applicants should have completed 15 years of full-time education. The role is intended for experienced professionals with relevant Python development and data management exposure.
