Role Overview
This position is for an Assistant Engineer based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role supports electrical maintenance activities across plant and engineering operations, with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for electrical systems and related components.
- Maintain and service automatic doors, cleaning equipment, electrical forklifts, and diesel forklifts.
- Spot technical issues and safety concerns, then report them while working in line with safety rules.
- Perform both scheduled and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Interpret and use SOPs, manuals, drawings, specifications, blueprints, and technical diagrams correctly.
- Diagnose equipment faults and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
- Work according to quality standards, safety procedures, and cGMP requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to reduce the risk of production downtime.
- Assist with all electrical tasks handled by the Engineering Section during assigned shifts.
- Record electrical readings and parameters for daily inspection checklists.
- Manage SAP PM/CM notifications, receiving reports, and purchase requisitions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role or field.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards is needed.
- Understanding of cGMP and data integrity principles is important.
- Familiarity with electrical generation and distribution systems is required.
- Experience with electrical equipment installation and maintenance is expected.
- Strong documentation and reporting ability is necessary.
