Role Overview
The Art Supervisor works closely with Copy, Strategy, Client Services, and Project Management teams to develop and deliver integrated creative work for healthcare brands. This person leads the visual direction from early concepting through final production, making sure the output is strategically sound, medically precise, and crafted to a high standard. The role also includes mentoring junior creatives and contributing to client-facing presentations and creative working sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop integrated HCP-focused creative concepts and designs for print, digital, video, social, and interactive channels using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Guide visual development for brand campaigns from the initial idea stage through production-ready delivery, partnering with Copy and Strategy teams.
- Present concepts and creative reasoning to clients and internal stakeholders, then refine solutions based on feedback.
- Work with Medical, Regulatory, and Client Services partners to keep assets on-brand, compliant, and accurate through production.
- Supervise and coach junior designers and art directors by giving structured feedback, direction on performance, and support for craft growth.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of agency experience, backed by a portfolio that shows integrated healthcare or pharmaceutical campaign work.
- Proven ability to concept and design HCP-facing materials across multiple formats such as print, digital, video, and social, with real production examples.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Figma, shown through portfolio work and production-ready files.
- Experience presenting creative ideas directly to clients and senior stakeholders, including ownership of parts of brand or campaign presentations.
- Background in mentoring or managing junior creatives, with examples of coaching, feedback, and project oversight.
- Interest in using AI regularly as part of the creative workflow.
- Familiarity with U.S. pharmaceutical regulatory processes and collaboration with Medical and Regulatory review teams.
- Exposure to visual identity development or brand refresh work for healthcare clients.
- Motion, 3D, or video art direction experience with tools such as After Effects or similar software.
- Recognition through awards or published creative work that reflects a strong craft standard.
