Anesthesia Technician

Role overview

This position supports anesthesia clinicians in a hospital or clinical environment by preparing, organizing, and maintaining the tools, drugs, and materials needed for procedures. The role also requires carrying out assigned tasks within the technician’s authorized scope of practice while following established safety and quality standards.

Key duties

The anesthesia technician will help keep anesthesia services running smoothly by ensuring equipment and supplies are ready when needed, assisting providers with delegated work, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and safety requirements.

Safety and compliance

All work must align with recognized standards and policies, including TJC, OSHA, and AMMI, with a strong focus on safe handling, correct preparation, and consistent adherence to clinical procedures.

Required background

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an anesthesia technician training program is preferred, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Candidates should bring solid knowledge of anesthesia equipment, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
