Workday Developer

Role Overview

Virtusa is seeking an experienced Workday Developer to support integration work with a strong focus on the Time & Absence and Payroll areas. This is a full-time onsite role in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

What You Will Do

• Build and support Workday integrations, especially across Time & Absence and Payroll modules.
• Take part in initiatives involving Workday and other business systems owned or licensed by the client.
• Spot patterns and developing risks by reviewing relevant metrics, loss information, and external events.
• Share findings clearly with business teams so they can respond with the right actions.
• Work with stakeholders to find process improvements and introduce technology solutions that enable straight-through processing.
• Coordinate with technology partners when changes need to be implemented and controlled.
• Support review activities that look for policy and standards gaps, and help identify better practices, improvements, and training needs with regional teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and other team members.
• Exercise sound risk judgment in business decisions, with attention to compliance, ethical conduct, reputation, client protection, and escalation of control issues.

Experience Needed

The role calls for at least 8 years of experience in Workday development and integrations.
