Role Overview
Ray White Kingsford is looking for a versatile website developer with strong expertise in Craft CMS and PHP. The position is centered on backend logic and database work, with enough frontend involvement to support smooth browser-side integration when required. The ideal person will be comfortable collaborating with other web developers to deliver a polished end-to-end product.
Roughly 80% of the work will focus on backend systems, while about 20% will involve frontend support and integration tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable server-side functionality using current PHP development practices.
- Design database structures and improve complex queries so applications run efficiently.
- Build and work with both internal and external APIs to support product features.
- Partner with the design team to implement UI components and make sure backend data is displayed accurately and efficiently.
- Produce clean, maintainable code and carry out detailed testing to reduce the risk of production defects.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Craft CMS or a similar advanced content management system.
- Professional-level PHP knowledge, along with experience in modern MVC frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design.
- Practical familiarity with JavaScript, React, and modern CSS for building or adjusting interactive interface elements.
- Good working knowledge of Git for team-based development.
- Strong debugging ability and a disciplined approach to secure, optimized coding.
