Catalyx is looking for an Engineering Administrator to support its customer site in Cork, County Cork, Ireland. The assignment is a 12-month contract, with a chance that it may be extended. Role Summary
This position supports engineering and site operations in a compliance-focused environment. The administrator will help keep documentation current, coordinate contractors and vendors, support maintenance activity tracking, and assist with audit readiness and general operational follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Core duties include preparing and circulating monthly EMS reports for pressure, temperature, and humidity; collecting operational data accurately and on time; and maintaining engineering records in a controlled, up-to-date state. The role also involves coordinating contractor access and activities, supporting site inductions and documentation requirements, and helping manage preventative maintenance tracking.
Additional responsibilities include raising and monitoring purchase orders, handling vendor paperwork and site compliance checks, serving as a contact point for supplier coordination, tracking engineering actions, and supporting follow-up tasks. The administrator will also help with audit preparation and broader compliance-related activities.
Requirements
The employer is seeking someone with prior administrative experience, which is essential. Experience in a regulated or compliance-led setting such as pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, food production, or medical devices is strongly preferred. Background exposure to engineering or facilities work is helpful but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should also be willing to learn technical aspects gradually with support from the team.
