Delivery Driver

About the role

RONA is looking for a delivery driver to support neighbourhood customers with timely, reliable deliveries. In this role, you’ll be part of a team focused on helping people complete their projects and creating a positive customer experience at every drop-off. The position is based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada and is a full-time onsite opportunity.

The company operates and supports corporate as well as affiliated dealer stores under several banners, including RONA+, RONA and Dick’s Lumber, serving both DIY customers and contractors with a wide range of products and services.

What you’ll do

• Carry out deliveries to customers located near the store.
• Assist with preparing orders for delivery, adjusting to weather conditions and loading requirements.
• Monitor shipments until they arrive at the destination and ensure delivery timelines are met.
• Follow store rules related to health, safety and loss prevention.
• Adhere to all applicable road safety requirements while driving.
• Handle the paperwork and records needed for each delivery.
• Deliver courteous, high-quality service to customers.
• Support other store tasks as needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a strong driving record.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and remain in good physical condition.
• Moffett experience is considered an asset.
