Role Overview

The Publishing team owns the creation of new web pages and the optimization of existing pages through the CMS across multiple Forbes Advisor properties. The role supports the SEO-driven content strategy and is critical to publishing content quickly, accurately, and to a consistently high standard. The team produces more than 700 content pieces each month, with responsibilities expanding frequently as new areas are added.

This position is suited to someone who can help scale content production across several properties while keeping quality, speed, and operational accuracy at the forefront. A typical day includes reviewing intake queues, understanding content briefs, and using WordPress to build or refine pages efficiently. You will also support and coach other Content Producers and Interns as needed.

Responsibilities

• Publish assigned content across your verticals quickly while maintaining a high standard and meeting deadlines.
• Keep a sharp eye on detail and ensure work is accurate, clean, and consistent.
• Own your workflow whenever possible by spotting formatting tasks in the intake queue and completing them independently.
• Carry out formatting updates across your verticals using advanced WordPress capabilities, and make component-level changes without supervision.
• Use knowledge of other vertical CMS platforms when needed to support the wider production team.
• Escalate CMS-related problems to team management and suggest what a fix should achieve so the issue can be logged with the technology team.
• Provide publishing assistance and training to other Production Team members and Interns using your CMS expertise.
• Work with PR and Branding teams to build custom branded landers for award-winning Forbes Advisor companies when required.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and manage several priorities at once across different product types.
• At least 2 years of experience using advanced authoring features in WordPress, AEM, or a similar CMS.
• CMS enthusiasm and the ability to help others learn how to use content tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a low-error approach to page creation and updates.
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including both on-page and off-page principles relevant to content production.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to interact effectively with people at different levels of seniority.
• Ability to train and mentor Interns through the content production process.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on improving efficiency for yourself and the broader team.
