About the CompanyTata Communications focuses on building a new era of communications through intelligence and innovation, with solutions spanning cloud, mobility, IoT, collaboration, security, media services, and network services.Role SummaryThis position is for a hands-on fixed assets accounting lead who can manage asset records, support compliance across multiple GAAP frameworks, close books on schedule, and produce MIS reporting. The role calls for strong SAP HANA knowledge, advanced Excel capability, and comfort with automation and modern process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee fixed asset accounting activities end to end, maintain accurate asset records, and support month-end as well as quarter-end and year-end close cycles. The role also involves reporting, compliance, audit support, process control, and continuous improvement across asset workflows.Keep the fixed asset register current by accurately recording purchases, disposals, and depreciation.Carry out periodic physical checks of assets and match the results with the asset register.Work with different teams to support capital expenditure planning and tracking.Ensure fixed asset accounting and reporting comply with IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP requirements.Prepare fixed asset reports for both internal and external users.Contribute to financial statement preparation, especially sections linked to fixed assets.Develop MIS reports for senior leadership.Prepare audit support schedules and respond to auditor questions.Design and strengthen internal controls covering fixed asset processes.Resolve audit observations, avoid adverse remarks, and implement recommended actions.Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities connected to fixed assets in a timely and accurate manner.Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger with the general ledger and post required journal entries.Review variances and explain material differences clearly.Guide management in evaluating CapEx versus OpEx decisions.Provide input on financial implications related to fixed assets and asset life cycle management.Use SAP HANA for asset tracking, reporting, and analysis.Improve fixed asset processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.Promote automation and advanced technology use in fixed asset and enterprise asset life cycle management.Train and support team members on best practices in fixed asset accounting.Qualifications and SkillsThe ideal candidate should have professional accounting credentials such as CA or Cost Accountant, along with 1 to 3 years of experience in fixed assets accounting within a multi-GAAP setting. Strong SAP HANA and Excel skills are important, as are analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle deadlines and multiple priorities.Professional accounting qualification such as CA or Cost Accountant is preferred.1 to 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting in a multi-GAAP environment.Working knowledge of SAP HANA and advanced Microsoft Excel.Sound understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.Detail-focused with good organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once.Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.Self-driven, proactive approach with commitment to meeting deadlines.Preferred BackgroundPrior experience with a listed company is advantageous.Exposure to additional ERP platforms is preferred.Experience in process improvement initiatives is useful.Familiarity with other accounting tools and software is a plus.
