Role summary
This position focuses on managing payroll operations for domestic and international employee groups, ensuring calculations, compliance, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.
What you will do
- Handle recurring payroll compliance administration each month and make sure all required steps are completed.
- Work with the third-party provider that supports expatriate tax services and coordinate related activities as required.
- Communicate with assignees so that tax-related documents are filed on time.
- Review and prepare Time and Labor reports, then send them to the relevant SME for payroll approval and closure.
- Carry out Time and Labor and ROV routine tasks and complete payroll closure activities.
- Process and enter timesheets.
- Check and validate time-data queries, confirm information accuracy, and report any system-related issues.
- Calculate payroll from gross earnings to net pay, accounting for statutory and other deductions.
- Compare gross-to-net payroll results between the previous month and the current month and investigate variances.
- Maintain payroll records and update items such as coding, sick pay, garnishments, tax credits, student loans, and bank detail changes.
- Apply knowledge of statutory payroll laws to resolve more complex issues.
- Respond to employee and management queries related to payroll.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure expense claims comply with company policy, with attention to backup documents, calculations, and accounting codes.
- Arrange timely payment of payroll taxes and other statutory deductions to the relevant authorities in each country.
- Enter electronic transfers in banking software and submit them to a supervisor for approval.
- Issue pay slips and statutory certificates/documents as needed.
- Prepare reports, statutory filings, and other required submissions for each country.
- Manage general payroll administration, including filing, form completion, pension, CSA, and year-end tax reporting, while meeting deadlines.
- Assist with software upgrades and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Take on additional payroll responsibilities as assigned.
- Draft SOPs and update existing SOPs to reflect process changes.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Support system testing and new transition activities.
- Verify all time administration queries and process data accurately.
- Complete all time and labor activities on time and with a high level of accuracy.

Requirements
