Active Directory Engineer

Role overview

HCLTech is hiring a professional with at least L2-level practical experience in core Active Directory support for a hybrid environment. The role focuses on keeping directory services stable, handling domain controller lifecycle tasks, and supporting related infrastructure components.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory replication issues.
• Carry out domain controller promotion and decommissioning tasks as needed.
• Support DNS and LDAP-related activities in the directory environment.
• Administer Group Policy Objects and related policy changes.
• Work on Hyper-V administration for infrastructure hosted on Hyper-V.
• Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Entra Connect (Azure AD Connect) integrations.

Desired technical background

• Practical L2-level experience in core Active Directory support.
• Solid hands-on experience with replication, domain controllers, GPOs, DNS, and LDAP.
• Exposure to hybrid identity environments.
• Familiarity with Hyper-V-based infrastructure.
• Working understanding of Microsoft Entra Connect.

Additional skills that will help

• Basic experience with Microsoft patching activities.
• Exposure to Azure Arc.
