Role overview
INSEAD is looking for a Manager, Gift Processing to join its Advancement Operations function. This is a permanent, full-time position that can be based at the Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France or the Asia Campus in Singapore, with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days on campus and 2 days working remotely.
What this role focuses on
Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations and working within the Gift Team, you will help deliver gift processing operations that are efficient, compliant, and centred on the donor experience. The position plays an important part in improving the giving journey by applying best practices, refining workflows, and supporting both team-wide and departmental priorities. During peak periods, you will also provide practical hands-on support across gift operations.
In close coordination with Development colleagues and a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will make sure gifts are processed correctly and in line with internal controls, legal requirements, and fiscal rules.
Key responsibilities
You will oversee gift and foundation administration, manage relationships with external foundations and third-party partners, support reporting and documentation, and help donors receive acknowledgements and tax receipts where applicable. You will also maintain records needed for legal and audit compliance.
Part of the job involves building and managing partnerships with international organisations that help expand tax-efficient giving options. This includes handling due diligence, applications, reporting, and performance tracking for partner foundations.
You will manage the operational side of giving platforms by administering recurring gifts and payment flows, testing systems regularly, working with IT on fixes and improvements, coordinating upgrades and new payment methods, and helping enhance pledge and recurring gift tracking. You will also assist donors with online giving questions and support updates to offline and online donation forms.
The role also requires improving processes and documentation, including reviewing user guides, templates, and procedural materials, as well as identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
You will provide responsive donor support through the shared inbox, handle enquiries with a high level of service, help donors understand payment methods and giving options, and manage tax receipt and acknowledgement communications. In addition, you may contribute to special projects and take on other duties as assigned.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is meticulous, collaborative, and service-minded, with a strong interest in operational excellence.
You should have experience in the non-profit sector, fundraising, higher education, or a related environment, as well as a background in operations, project management, fundraising, finance, or a similar field. Strong organisation, the ability to balance multiple deadlines, and confidence working with CRM systems, payment platforms, or other digital tools are important.
You will need strong communication skills, a high degree of accuracy in data and financial work, and a clear commitment to excellent donor or customer service. The role also values teamwork across functions and a results-driven approach focused on quality and continuous improvement.
