Junior Academic Content Developer (Higher Education)

About the role

This role is for an academic content professional who will help build higher-education learning material for university programs. You will work under supervision to turn syllabus requirements, subject-matter expert inputs, and outlines into structured, learner-friendly content.

What you will do

• Contribute to the creation of academic content for higher education programs with guidance from senior team members.
• Support the preparation of self-learning materials (SLMs), PowerPoint decks, and other learning resources.
• Develop entry-level content modules aligned with the approved university syllabus and related instructions.
• Transform outlines and SME-provided inputs into well-organized academic content.
• Draft lesson material, examples, activities, and simple assessment items.
• Format and prepare course presentations using the provided templates.
• Apply instructional design practices as directed, including the ADDIE framework and Bloom’s Taxonomy levels.
• Update and refine content based on reviewer and client feedback.
• Maintain language quality by checking for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Assist with plagiarism review and help uphold basic quality standards.
• Keep version history organized and maintain documentation for content changes.
• Use basic digital tools and AI-assisted tools to draft and edit content under supervision.

Eligibility and experience

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience. However, applicants with 0–2 years of experience, including freshers with strong content skills, may also be considered. A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred, especially in education, content, or a related field.

Skills and knowledge

The ideal candidate should have strong writing ability, good comprehension, and a willingness to learn quickly. Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms is an added advantage.

Compensation and details

Annual salary range: ₹2,01,000 to ₹5,50,000. There are 3 openings for this position. The role is full-time and based onsite in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The expected start is immediate.
