About the role
EY is hiring an experienced Distributed and OpenText Exstream Developer to build, improve, and support customer communication applications used for both real-time and large-scale batch processing. This role sits within the Client Reporting Technology team, which develops scalable communication solutions that support statement generation, letters, tax documents, trade confirmations, operational and marketing messages, and regulated forms.
What you will do
- Work as part of scrum teams to enhance customer communications management platforms built on OpenText Exstream.
- Discuss business and technical needs with product teams and help shape the product direction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver new add-on products and features while following architectural and design governance standards.
- Coordinate integrations between upstream and downstream systems.
- Contribute to improvements in development, deployment, tooling, and platform modernization.
- Take ownership of development for Distributed applications and OpenText Exstream-based CCM platforms.
- Support build and release coordination, deployment planning, and issue handling.
- Drive process automation, tool adoption, and workflow improvements.
- Participate in code review, scope control, and delivery quality checks to reduce risk.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to create technical solutions aligned to the roadmap.
- Guide distributed technical teams across locations and time zones.
- Design solutions that can handle ultra-high-volume workloads efficiently.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with OpenText Exstream and customer communications management systems.
- Advanced Java web and service development experience, usually backed by at least 8 years of relevant work.
- Experience working in agile scrum teams.
- Background in distributed applications, Unix, shell scripting, and batch processing.
- Understanding of CCM delivery best practices across digital channels such as web, email, SMS, and mobile, as well as print.
- Knowledge of high-volume batch processing, scheduling, and horizontal/vertical scaling.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo and version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and build strong working relationships.
- Comfort working with or leading teams spread across different geographies and time zones.
- Experience leading development on OpenText Exstream, CCM systems, and document rendering.
- Ability to work with Exstream-supported input and reference formats such as flat files, XML, MQ, SOAP, JSON, ODBC/JDBC, and custom DDA implementations.
- Experience troubleshooting output formats such as AFP, PDF, XML, and HTML5.
- Working knowledge of Java, Java Core, and Spring frameworks.
- Preference for experience with distributed multi-tier systems, WMI, NoSQL databases, MongoDB, or SQL.
- Exposure to web content management systems is an advantage.
- Cloud experience, especially with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, is a plus.
- Understanding of Control-M, legacy systems, and mainframe-based applications is an added advantage.

Compensation
The stated salary range is INR 10,00,000 to INR 20,00,000 per year.
