About the internship

This remote internship is for a Cyber Security trainee at Cloud Back, a managed cloud hosting platform that helps teams build, deploy, scale, and administer websites and applications. The role offers practical exposure in a fast-moving environment where you will work with experienced professionals to help strengthen system and data protection.

You should already have familiarity with Python, computer networking, Linux, ethical hacking, VAPT, and web application security, since these will be used in day-to-day work.

What you will do

• Perform routine security reviews and penetration testing to uncover weaknesses in systems and applications.
• Help put security controls in place and support ongoing maintenance to reduce the risk of cyberattacks and data loss.
• Watch network activity for unusual behavior and assist with incident response when needed.
• Work with IT teams to follow security policies and accepted best practices.
• Create scripts and utilities that automate repetitive security tasks and improve efficiency.
• Support awareness efforts by helping educate staff on cybersecurity hygiene and safe practices.
• Keep track of current cyber threats, attack methods, and security tools so your work stays aligned with evolving risks.

Who can apply

Applicants must be available for a work-from-home internship, able to begin between 27 June 2026 and 1 August 2026, and available for a 3-month duration. Candidates should have relevant skills and interest in cybersecurity. Students pursuing Computer Science Engineering are eligible, and women looking to start or restart their careers may also apply.

Compensation and timeline
