Role overview
PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking a Data Analyst - Associate to support client-facing work across a varied portfolio spanning regions and regulatory environments. In this role, you will collaborate with global teams in Advisory, Assurance, Tax, and Business Services to solve real business challenges using data, technology, and teamwork. The position offers practical learning, modern tools, and an inclusive environment where you can develop professionally while contributing to meaningful outcomes.
As part of the Technology Consulting practice, you will help clients improve operational efficiency and performance by turning complex data into actionable insights. You will contribute to engagements and projects while building your technical depth, learning how to work effectively with clients, and strengthening your ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Review large healthcare operations datasets to spot patterns, track performance indicators, and surface financial insights.
- Create and refine dashboards and analytical reports with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Write SQL queries to pull, transform, and prepare data from relational databases.
- Design, support, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines used for reporting and analysis.
- Develop and manage analytical datasets and data models that power operational dashboards.
- Combine data from databases, flat files, APIs, and business systems into usable analytics inputs.
- Use automation tools like Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to simplify data-related workflows.
- Support cloud-based analytics setups, including exposure to AWS services.
- Check data quality, validate outputs, and monitor datasets to ensure reliability.
- Present insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Follow PwC’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct and maintain compliance with healthcare data security requirements, including HIPAA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering is required; Cloud Computing and Software Engineering are preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or reporting.
- Strong command of SQL, including joins, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and query tuning.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server or another relational database platform.
- Ability to create and manage tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Experience transforming large datasets using SQL-based processing techniques.
- Strong experience building dashboards and operational reports in Power BI or Tableau.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis methods.
- Ability to validate data, reconcile mismatches, and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
- Comfort working with large datasets and identifying trends, patterns, and operational insights.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and analytics dataset design.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Exposure to ETL or ELT pipelines, data integration tools such as Alteryx or Informatica, AWS analytics services, Microsoft Power Platform, Python, and healthcare or RCM datasets is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated environments is an advantage.
- Will need to be flexible for night shifts aligned to US time zones.
- Work location is office-based.
