Role Overview
We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to act as the main technical contact for Airbus airline customers, focusing on in-flight entertainment (IFE) and connectivity systems. The position is based in Bengaluru and involves resolving service issues, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting airline operators during entry into service activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of technical contact between Airbus and airline customers for IFE and connectivity-related matters.
- Handle and close in-service technical issues in a prompt and effective manner.
- Review customer questions and provide solutions using Airbus engineering and maintenance references such as AMM, TSM, IPC, MPD, and CMM.
- Work with design offices, suppliers, and program stakeholders to drive resolution of complicated technical problems.
- Contribute to Entry-Into-Service support, including on-site assistance and training for airline teams.
Required Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Avionics, or a closely related engineering discipline is required.
- Between 3 and 7 years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance or customer support, ideally with exposure to IFE and connectivity systems.
- Good working knowledge of Airbus technical manuals and documents, including AMM, TSM, MPD, IPC, and CMM.
- Understanding of Airbus in-service engineering and airworthiness workflows.
- Prior involvement in base maintenance or aircraft modification projects is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with IFE platforms such as Panasonic or Thales and connectivity technologies such as SATCOM GX and GSM is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Comfortable collaborating across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with Airbus aircraft types such as A320, A330, A350, or A380 is preferred.
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks such as EASA or FAA is beneficial.
- Experience working with airlines or MRO organizations is advantageous.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The role requires close coordination with Airbus customers and internal technical teams to ensure smooth resolution of operational and engineering issues.
